The Customer

Inovyn ChlorVinyls Ltd, owned by Ineos, one of the world’s largest chemical businesses recently opened their doors to a new modular office and amenities building at their Runcorn site in Cheshire.

To help facilitate this new building, The Simply Group were approached to supply, deliver and install lockers and bench seating for the male and female changing areas.

Our Storage Solution

Having worked on numerous changing room installations over the years, The Simply Group were chosen to fulfil this part of the fixtures, fittings and equipment (FF&E) requirement after sending a sample changing room locker for client sign off, which was happily approved.

A site visit was carried out prior to installation to ensure that the number of lockers and benches required would comfortably fit within the space provided. We were able to accommodate the client’s preferred layout plan, as opposed to the initial architectural plan, by having even runs of lockers for workers to store their personal belongings throughout the scheme. The layout ensured that users had a place to store clean and dirty clothes in ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ lockers that were placed side by side.

With the requirements set, our mild steel lockers were the product of choice, which were to be raised up on stands due to the slightly uneven flooring, which was picked up at the visit. We supplied 180 of our steel uniform lockers in a single door configuration, each fitted with cam locks. A mixture of single and double sided island units were chosen to allow ample space for users to easily change in and out of their work clothes and boots.

The Result

Whilst experiencing a minor delay in completing the installation on the agreed date, due to manufacturing issues, The Simply Group coordinated alongside their installation team to ensure that there was minimal disruption to the client. We were able to complete the installation within 2 days. We express our sincere thanks to Inovyn for their patience and understanding during the final part of this process.

These workwear lockers are ideal for workers to store their personal protective equipment (PPE), mobile phones and clean clothes and are proving to work incredibly well in the changing rooms at Inovyn.
